Check out the next Currently Explainer! Currently’s managing editor Zaria Howell talks with some of our meteorologists about how to get through a snowstorm. We know it’s already mid-April, but an intense spring storm is bringing late, yet heavy snow across the Northeast region. It’s always a good time to brush up on your snow storm safety.

Meteorologists say that the best thing to do ahead of a snowstorm is to be prepared. Check to see if your shovel is usable and proceed to shovel the sidewalk and area around you. Make an emergency supply kit for your car, charge your devices and stock your fridge up with basic essentials. Then, as the storm passes, remember to check on your neighbors, make sure your pipes aren’t frozen, and restock for the next storm.
