What you need to know, currently.

Heavy snow and blizzards are likely in parts of the Northern Plains and upper Midwest from Tuesday through at least midday Thursday, as Winter Storm Olive makes its way across the region.

This could be the Twin Cities’ heaviest snowstorm in over 12 years. Snowfall totals will likely be more than one foot in most areas of eastern South Dakota, southern Minnesota, and northern Wisconsin.

Residents  should  also expect blowing and drifting snow due to the cold air and strong winds, worsening road conditions. Travel will be almost impossible in some areas, and many roads might not be cleared until Friday.
